Binance Pi Symbol Teases Possible Pi Coin Listing
A single image has sparked new enthusiasm across the Pi Network community. A recent post by Binance on its X account created a wave of anticipation among supporters of the Pi Network.
The image featured Binance’s signature logo, but with a clever twist it was recreated using the Greek symbol π (Pi). Though no accompanying text or explanation was provided, the cryptic post was enough to send Pi Network enthusiasts into a frenzy, interpreting it as a possible teaser for the long-anticipated Pi Coin (PI) listing.
Binance Stays Quiet as Pi Coin Rumors Swirl
As of now, Binance hasn’t shared any official information about the listing of Pi Coin. Binance has always made the process for listing new tokens clear by providing detailed press releases and a separate listing page for each new asset.
Furthermore, Binance keeps a tight lid on any relevant information following the cryptic post and has refrained from sharing any updates on the potential listing of Pi Coin. An executor at the exchange confirmed that such content shouldn’t be regarded as an official announcement.
The Pi symbol has previously caused a stir in the crypto market. Last month, CoinDCX shared a tweet using the digits “3.14159,” sparking rumors that the exchange may support Pi Coin in the future. Other notable exchanges, such as Gate.io, HTX, Bitget and OKX, have already listed the coin under various trading denominations, in most cases independently from the Pi Network team.
Massive Support for Pi Coin in Binance Poll
Binance sought to measure the enthusiasm for Pi Coin by carrying out a community poll in February. The results of the poll were resounding: approximately 226,000 people voted in favor of adding Pi Coin to Binance. The exchange has so far failed to act on the results of the poll held in February.
The Pi Team has repeatedly advised against exchanging PI until the coin is formally unleashed onto the market. Exchanges are listing versions or IOUs of Pi Coin before its official release.
Pi Coin is currently valued at $0.8350, having lost 7.42% in the last 24 hours. Its market cap of $5.96 billion indicates that investors nevertheless find value in this project and believe in its future prospects.
A single mention of Pi Coin by Binance caught the attention of thousands of crypto enthusiasts. It’s yet unclear if the hint will lead to a genuine listing on the platform. In the meantime, Pi Network innovators will stay tuned to anything Binance reveals about its potential actions.
